### What this is

Pennsylvania licenses every location that collects sales tax and issues exemption certificates to charities, churches and schools. The Department of Revenue publishes one row per location, with the account number masked. This site groups the rows by legal name: one record per company, with the number of licensed locations, the license types and the cities.

### Who uses it

- **Suppliers and wholesalers** — does this buyer hold a sales tax license or an exemption certificate?
- **Landlords and lenders** — how many licensed locations, and where.
- **Organizations** — your own record and its expiration.

### What it is not

Not the Department of Revenue, and not a license or an exemption certificate. The state masks account numbers: none is shown. Individuals and businesses without a company word in their legal name (Inc, LLC, Corp…) are left out. Records are grouped by legal name only.
